Dev Log (End of September)

Hello there!

This is *probably* the final Dev Log before the release of the upcoming update. We want to try to stick with the once-a-month schedule, releasing an update at the end of September. This will go over what has been done and will be included in the final beta, set to release in a few days, along with what else we are going to try to finish in time for release.

Firstly, the update title. We have decided to go with the title the “Boys will be Boys Update”, as we think it fits the Bullying, Sibling Rivalry, and other aspects of this update. If you saw our last Dev Log or played the previous Beta, then you already know about the new Nickname System in place. We’ve expanded that slightly to include some special events that can occur if you have one of the pre-set Nicknames. Getting a bad nickname can lead the player to all sorts of interesting mean encounters.

Though the largest piece of new content in this Beta is the reworked Bath/Shower Events. Many of these events were some of the first created for the game and had a vastly different level of quality and details compared to more modern scenes. With that, we gathered some feedback from our Discord and redesigned the system. All events have been rewritten to bring them up to quality. Most events also have Bath and Shower versions, barring some, and we’ve also added High Naturism versions to all events where you get exposed, so you won’t get shy if you aren’t shy around your family.

We’ve also added options, like with Classrooms, to allow you to decide ‘how’ you bathe. Normal Shower/Bath is the same as normal, with roughly a 50-70% chance to get just a normal bath with all the options you are used to, though improved. You can also take a Quick Shower. This takes half the time, but only refills 50% of the Hygiene Bar. This also prevents events from happening, for those of you who just want to get clean. You can also choose a Relaxing Shower/Bath, which grants Stress Relief, though you can still be walked-in on, if the time is right.

And the time matters, as requested we have changed the code to no longer allow the PC to be walked in on showering when your family should be out of the house or sleeping, making these ‘safer’ times to get it done and keep things realistic. We have plans to add some versions of Walk-In events that account for the family sleeping, however.

Outside of these, we’ve added a little fun thing. You can take a Cold Shower, intentionally or not, which gives the Uncomfortably Cold Moodlet. (Orange normally, Green if “Likes Cold” Trait.) This trait reduces horniness, with also the special affect of making your penis appear one size smaller on your avatar. This is currently only visual and doesn’t actually affect gameplay, but we thought it would be a fun little thing to play around with. So if you want a smaller penis for a few hours, hop in a cold shower.

We’ve also added a handful of other events, both OC and Non-OC. I won’t go into exacts, but the follow characters have some new Random Events: Carter, Felix, Noah, Kyren, Arthur & Richard, Noah H., Emmet, and Kalim. These are all functional and in the Beta. See the Change Log once it comes out for more details.

Next up, we have some new character customization additions. Firstly, those in our Discord know we held a Spriting Contest for new underwear. We had 19 entrants and all of them will be included in the game! We also have some new glasses and facewear by the wonderful Phlixel. Lastly, Onihere has created new Muscular Overlays for the preteen bodies. These can be selected during character creation and give you new ways to show off more fit boys. Big thanks to Rudy, Isamu, and Boyfriend(<3 Ron) for getting all these plus a bunch of events imported!

Lastly, I’ll mention what else we are working on that probably won’t be in the Beta but may be in the update. The Beta is scheduled to release tomorrow or the next day, we’ll ping the Discord Supporter Channel when we do. This Dev Log will also be posted the day before the Update on the Forums. In that time period, we plan to work on expanding the Wedgie/Pants hallway encounters. Currently, you can only do it with Lucas and somewhat Michael. We plan to expand this to all the main classmates. This is part of my current goal to bring every character up to par with Lucas over the next few months. We are starting with smaller things like this, then plan to move onto Hang-Outs, then Quests and visiting their houses. House Sprites are already in development for all characters and may start being shown off soon. More information on this coming in a later Dev Log.
