Life as a Boy "The Foreplay Update"

Apologies for the wait, writer’s block has been very annoying. But I am happy to announce the release of Life as a Boy V0.03.01! The Foreplay Update! This update introduces a handful of things, with the core part being the first stable build of Foreplay. We also have new Random Encounters (Events triggered by entering a location) and another handful of events. Check out the change log for details on those.

Allow me to give some info on Foreplay. Foreplay, and likewise Sex, will use what I am calling Action Events. These are smaller events that average around 3-4 paragraphs long that describe the action you are doing. They are about half the length of a normal event, so keep that in mind when you see that there are over 100 of them. The number seems high, but it can be misleading.

Currently in Foreplay, you can do 3 main things. The first is change positions, as there are 7 current positions available that can let you play a bottom or top role. (See Foreplay Dev Ramblings for details.) These events don’t have any variations yet, so the game will always assume you are clothed for these. Variants coming soon.

The second thing you can do is stripping clothing of you and Lucas. You have 5 main clothing slots you can strip: Outerwear, Top, Bottoms, Socks, and Undies. Currently each of these have a different variant that plays based on your position, so 7 for each. We have variants planned for High Arousal later. The game also currently assumes you are stripping in the default order, with variants for other orders coming soon. This is all to say, that Foreplay is still in an early stage. We have a lot of work to be done, but want feedback and thoughts before we continue.

The last thing you can currently do in Foreplay is the “Rubbing Partner’s Crotch” action, which is exactly as it sounds. You can only do this in 5 positions where PC has easy access to Lucas’ crotch, as others wouldn’t make sense. The event plays out differently based on Position, Clothing State, and Arousal Levels (Only some High Arousal are written) which is where a lot of the Action Events currently in the game come from. This should give you an example of the different variations and how we plan to work with this system going forward. This is something we plan to constantly build on and expand so it is easier to add more content in the future.

-Next Update-

The plan for the Next Update, currently the Sex Update, is for it to come out in Early/Mid June. It will mainly include some expansions to the Foreplay System along with giving the first taste of Sex. This will allow you to finish the Lucas’ Sex Quest and add replayable sex. This update will also include a bunch of other stuff I know people will be excited for. I hope you enjoy this little taste of lewd content before we get to the good part. We don’t know how much will be in this next update, but we know that you will at least be able to finish.

The Sex Dev Ramblings, which goes into our planned ideas for Sex, was posted earlier this week for supporters and will be posted publicly around the 12th. We have more Ramblings on the way, which will be posted publicly on Discord and the Forums 1-2 weeks after they are posted for Supporters.
