Updates on the film stuff from MFF 2019

Hello everyone

For those of you who've been waiting for the photos from the Midwest Furfest events of 2019. I decided that I'm going to mail off the two black and white films to the lab. The reason why I'm doing this is mostly for safety reasons. It was because yesterday night when I was developing black and white medium format film at my place for the first time, I noticed the film was in purple color.

I had to contact a photography group online to find out more about this issue. They explained to me that I needed to put the film back into the tank much longer to get it fully developed. It's because there are different types of black and white film brands out there on the market. A few of these type of films needed to be develop longer. Anyways so I put my film back into the tank to finish up the developing process. After that I wash the film but I noticed the film is darker and the images are losing the contrast too. That's an issue that I need to work on. Even though it was my first time using the special chemical for the black and white film stuff and it was my first time actually developing medium format film at home. I had a feeling the film wasn't going to turn out perfect. But hey, I wouldn't worry about it because we all go through learning experiences in life. Especially when we work on cool projects too.

So today I'm going to take more experimental photos of Al on film and then after that I'm going to develop the film again. This is just to do more practice on developing film so that way I can improve. So that way I don't have to mail off the film to the lab in the future.

As for developing the rest of the film from the con; Today I got measuring cups coming in from the mail. Next week I'm going to start developing color negatives at home. Sorry if this film developing stuff is a slow process. It's because I'm learning more about this stuff on my own. But I'm also doing a lot of research on this film developing stuff as well. It's because I want to develop the film properly.
