Anthrocon Super 8 Film

I actually filmed the convention with Two Super 8 film cameras. The first camera is a Kmart's Super 8 camera Focal 500. The second camera is a Canon 320XL super 8 camera. I used Kodak Vision3 500T/7219 Color Negative Film and Kodak TXR-464 Tri-X Reversal Black & White film for those cameras. Both are 50 rolls of film. Also both of these film rolls are made by Kodak. 

Anyways enough of the nerdy stuff. This is a fun project that I wanted to work on for a long time. But I'm glad that I got a chance to work on it this year. I wanted to focus on the artistic style of filmmaking in production. So I thought that making a con video in a different style would be interesting for the viewers. Because every time I watch a Fur-con videos on YouTube they're pretty much the same. People use fancy HD cameras and EDM tracks in their con video. As an independent filmmaker, I want to focus on something I haven't done yet. Basically something new. So I thought filming the convention on traditional film would be an interesting project for the viewers. 

It took me two to three days to film the convention on this project. Even when I brought the film back home with me through the airport I had to make sure it didn't go through the X-ray machines. It's because I didn't want the machines to damage the film. So I asked security to hand checked my film and they did. I got my film back with no damage. When you go through security checkpoint at airports, always let security know you have film. Ask them to hand check your film. When I got back home I mail off the film to a company called "Pro8mm." They develop and scan my film into video files. After that I got two rolls of film back from them. Plus I had to pay them extra to get the video files onto a 1TB external hard drive. Because I got 4 video files from them. 2 Video files are at 4K and the other 2 are at 1080p. Also this super 8 project is one of the expensive project that I worked on for the channel this year.
