2024-01-19 00:11:25 +0000 UTCWelcome to health care for the elderly in this country. I had my mom at the BEST hospital and it was terrible. Because she was 90 they pretty much ignored her. If I was not there with her at all times, the care was terrible. Thank goodness there was one doctor who really cared about her. The outcome was not good after 40 days in that hospital - she passed shortly after but her journey could have been better.

I once spent half the night in the ER with my husband so worried about the pain he was in only for the doctor to ask him to rate it on a scale of 1-10 and have him say 4. Like why tf are we spending $1000+ for a problem that would be solved by a dose of Tylenol? Good Lord.
