This scares me. Australia isn’t as nice as you would like to think because no Australian is awoken by the fact our freedoms we pretend exist can be stripped away in secret. But I would like to point out that if the courts choose not to enforce a law by the mass majority of judges than that law is no longer law because it doesn’t reflect the values of Australians/ the judges/ courts especially if high court says yeh nah we don’t like that law. While we may have that cushion doesn’t mean new judges can be placed.

We have a few nice little national parks here and there, everything else has been turned into suburbs/towns, mines, and paddocks. Even the bush that's left in the Adelaide Hills is under attack from private mines, SA is the only state which doesn't have minimum separation distances for for private mines.
