Also just blinded by a hatred of hipsters. The reality is that the benefits of university are often not so obviously linear. I was 100% team Ali in that debate.

2020-06-26 01:13:32 +0000 UTCJordan is so frustrating sometimes. The majority of political and business leaders have backgrounds in the social sciences/ liberal arts. Most people who graduate with STEM degrees just become number-crunching cogs for corporations, which is fine, but doesn't make them inherently better than arts degrees. Also, the ideas that Jordan is learning from, whether through Chomsky or the old books guarded by a giant spider, are themselves the products of social science programs.
