The way in which they describe the role and mannerisms of the presidency and the fact that he is the antithesis of that has kind of broken the attraction.

Overall I love what they did with the opening video and sequence, most notably taking out Andrew Jackson praise. Despite that; and living in Orlando; the vagina groping monster’s presence has only allowed me to watch it once.

When you elected Obama, it was a sign that perhaps America had come to its senses. Obama had his problems - a desperate need for bipartisanship in a partisan era, bending over backwards to get conservative votes he was never going to get, continuing Bush's drone strikes, failing to close Guantanamo - but he was a step in the right direction, said the right things, and tried to improve things to a degree that made it look like an upward gradient. An agonisingly slow progression, but progress. And then Trump got elected by people who saw Obama as a personal slight, in the equivalent of shitting their pants, then going "what?" when people wrinkled their nose, and taking great pleasure in sitting it and watching the "triggered snowflakes" throw up, then wondering why people don't want to hang out with them. That's how the rest of the world sees America for letting it happen. Please, for the love of god, don't validate that opinion.
