I’m so sorry Beau. I totally understand not wanting to tell friends about it yet. I literally used to just tell people I didn’t have a dad to avoid the discussion of hearing the “I’m sorry’s” and having to respond to them. Like what do you say.. “it’s ok… not your fault?” Funny that I started this with “I’m so sorry Beau.” Clearly it’s just not an easy convo on either side. I definitely shed some tears, and I know that a man who stood up to be a father figure to you and helped to raise a man with good character like you is a uniquely good human. Ps. I don’t who who the Charlie Rose is you’re talking about, but that’s so annoying and dumb. Everyone has the name of someone famous at some point. I lived in TX for a few years and 1 in 3 people asked if I named my son after Nolan Ryan because his name was Nolan. If you think I would name my son after a baseball player, that is extremely insulting to me as a mom and you deserve the scowls you receive as your response.
