Who Review: Remembrance of the Daleks

Oh boy someone requested one of my 500 favorite things, Doctor Who. We're going oldschool for this one. Not super duper oldschool, just like 80s oldschool, and that's super duper cool cause the Oldschool Fool's brain is forever stuck in that era anyway.

I used to think pre-Davies era Who was slower than shit. Oh sure there are some stand outs. Genesis of the Daleks is a classic, Trial of a Timelord is underrated as fuck, but on the whole it's just a different style of pacing where every story has to be a 6 part series for some reason. Even the best episodes were occasionally a struggle to sit through and i could never totally get into it.

But that's what i thought before Chibnall came along and turned modern Who into something so wretchedly tedious and boring you'd rather watch flies fuck. Compared to the Jodi era, old Who is a damn rollercoaster of excitement. So i guess having been starved for any watchable Doctor Who at all these last 5 fucking years put me in the right headspace to better enjoy the classics.

So lets hop in the Re-Tardis and Re-view some Who. Here we have the furtive 7th doctor, so easily forgotten. A shame because if this episode is indicative of the rest of his run, he's awesome. He basically spends the entire episode going around telling everyone they suck.

"Soldiers? Get out of here you idiots, you suck and the Daleks will kill you. Daleks? Fuck off you squids or i'll flush you down the toilet like the slimy Mcdonalds shits you are. Davros? You're the biggest cunt of all and if you don't piss off in the next 5 seconds i'm gonna get pissed off and push you down the fucking stairs."

~The 7th Doctor on a typical day.
