Resident Senile (REmake part 5)

This episode, and the next few, were recorded on a private livestream, because my playstation's hard drive was too full of old footage to record on. The downside is that my stream mic is slightly crappier than my regular mic. You probably wouldn't have noticed that if i hadn't said anything, but i always feel like i have to apologize for that. 

It's not even that my stream mic is bad, it's just that my other mic is really good, but i'm technologically retarded and it doesn't go in the playstation's usb port so it might as well be some kind of CSI hacker Y2K computer magic to me. 

But that's not even the important thing. What i should apologize for, but won't because i find it hilarious, is the late stage dementia-like gameplay and commentary on display here. In my defense, it had been a few months since i last played so there was bound to be some disorientation as i reacquaint myself with whatever the fuck i was doing. Also, i'm pretty sure i was running on no sleep here. 

You might think i sound high as fuck here, but i can assure you that's not the case. I know my moods well and i can tell you this is not what i sound like any drugs i've tried. This is what i sound like when it's 5 in the morning and i've been recording all night and i'm just squeezing in one more video before it's time to either pass out or zombie shuffle my way to the donut store for orange juice and weiner-buns. Backing up my case is the fact that i literally say this in the video, so there. The only thing i'm high on is being hungry and sleepy.

It's an easy misconception to make, as my bumbling foolishness in this episode is up there with some truly high-level gameplay, and not the kind they make Summoning Salt videos about. But at this point i think it's safe to say that if you're tuning into the Blue Glow expecting to see a man who knows what he's doing, you have fundamentally misunderstood the intent of the show.

Funny thing about this game though, it happens to be one of the best goddamn games ever made. So while the first half dozen episodes of this series consist of me seemingly not remembering what the fuck a video game even is, at a certain point i assure you the 8 year old Mighty One inside me does re-awaken and my powers of knowing how to fucking play do return to me. Just wait, by the end of this series you'll be amazed to witness yours truly speedrunning this masterpiece with all the powers of the boy-king gamer-god i once was.
