And yeah, there are some changes in the storyline, but the reason why anime and manga readers like this is that there were no major changes in the characters, and of course, it's mostly because of Oda-sensei. He's the goat and the creator of One Piece. He made all the changes and even chose the actors that are playing in the series, so everyone loves this series, even the anime and manga readers, such as me.

I'm actually still early on in the anime (like in the 50s... and it's been that way for almost two years lol but not bc of the anime itself bc I do love it, I just keep getting distracted with other things😭) but I've seen s1 of the live action and, both in the anime and live action, Luffy has my entire heart. I just adore him so much and, even though I'm not far into the anime yet, I already consider him in my top 10 fav anime characters ever (and I've seen a good amount of animes atp, but idk. Something about Luffy just had me drawn to him-). I love the whole crew though. :')
