Also, not that I want Sasha to be dead, but because of this scene where Gabi killed Sasha, we were able to grasp and realize that the "hate and anger" of the Eldians in the Internment Zone was because of brainwashing of what's the reality, and they were forced to hate their own race (Eldians in the Paradis Island) coz it was their safety net for their freedom in the Marley's side (even tho they're still seen as lowlife by the Marley, they can be honorary Marleyan and save their families once they become a Warrior and inherit the Titan to save the asses of Marley). Both sides are victims of different perspectives deemed as reality. Gabi was a reflection of little Eren full of hate and anger when his mother died, showing how both Eldians are victims.

Then when Eren heard it, we saw how everything flashbacks, that moment when they were preparing for a mission (i forgot what for but it was before they get to the basement, they still have no idea what's beyond the sea) and Sasha said with a a lot of hope in his eyes, she bought meat from the officer's storehouse, and said "It'll be fine. We can just raise more cattle and sheep once we retake our land." 45:13. Sasha, just like the others were hopeful back then that they'll be able to retake their land, and just live normally and happily. Noticed how after Eren heard Connie's answer, he's expression was hurt (because of the fact that Sasha's dead already, she's his long time friend still and she has no chance of experiencing the freedom they all hoped for back then) and slowly turned into a chuckle/laugh, like as if realizing how they cannot reverse everything back now, how Sasha hopes to have a normal life in the future, how it seems so hard and impossible it is to return back to the normal days they once hoped for. Everything that moment was just pure chaos. And Eren, of all people in that flying ship, knows it. He knows both sides and condition of the Eldians in Paradis Island and the Eldians in the Internment Zone. And I realized this moment Eren knew if the current situation continues, all the people around him that he loves will continue to die and suffer, until the next generations.
