The tom holland version was changed for the mcu because this story had been told so many times. Also your point about why peter couldn't go to the doc is true and im pretty sure he mentions it in the comics (I could be remembering wrong). Plus I've also seen people point out that peter knew his aunt and uncle weren't well off and that his uncle had lost his job so it makes sense that even being super sick and not knowing what was going on he wouldn't risk sticking them with medical bills. Would definitely love to see your reaction to the others
