Cause so far she doesn’t even know what they been up to romanticly she just knows Jaewon don’t care for her and has a soft spot for jihyun and she’s mad. Girl bye grow up I see why Jaewon don’t want her. Anyways their lack of communication is very intentional especially on jaewons part, my man has trauma, shitty parents shitty friend and shitty ex I think he just always had so much going on in his head. But I love them sm they are so cute

I think that was intentional since they’re both so young and still navigating friendships and relationships. I think communication will come as their relationship blossoms. I’ll be so real I haven’t watched this drama for years so I’m basically rewatching this for the first time with you

2025-02-17 17:56:38 +0000 UTCjust caught up with this series and am pretty much just watching it with you and wow... idk if you've heard of the "mumblecore" genre caitlyn, but this is kind of what that is - mostly dialogue-driven, little bg music, a lot of prolonged, lingering shots to let us sit with those feelings, and a simpler editing style to accompany it. it's slow but i find it very tasteful! like i'm getting to know both jaewon and jihyun in a very intimate way and i'm living!!

2025-02-17 15:42:57 +0000 UTCthe cockblocking was insane lmaoooo. anyway, i wanted to say two things! first, now the pace will pick up more but i am glad that the first episodes were "slow". to be honest, i believe ur now picking up on this because you commented slightly about it, but jae-won's love language is indeed touch in my opinion. and thru those first episodes the slowness allowed for us (audience) to truly take in the awkwardness of falling for someone but also it just FELT, really felt, intimate. it was almost as if we were there, feeling how the characters felt - at least i did when i watched it. like that scene where they both helped each other to dress up in that second ep... like it was so tender, so beautiful, so intimate. obviously, the pace is not for everyone but the people who worked on this show really wanted to make something different, capture other sides of a relationship you dont typically see in other dramas. while most scripts want to entertain the viewer and quickly pass on from a cute moment to another cute moment, this one really wants you to sit with these feelings. rather than feeding words so the audience learns about what they feel, they are --showing-- us, thru touch, body language, expression, the way a scene is lit or how light reflects in some of the characters versus others. i remember i got butterflies in this ep when their hands touched. it was beautiful, but my ABSOLUTE fav scenes are yet to come!! ps: not saying other dramas are wrong for this or this one is right, im just trying to explain how they feel different ^^ i love a vast range of media, of any kind. secondly, because these mostly drop on mondays, i want to thank you Caitlin, for making my mondays more bearable 🥹 really, these past 2 weeks have been so much more easy because i had this small but really big thing that i was looking forward to.
