Really had be thinking with the themes that this movie hits on. Leave your thoughts down below! Would love to hear them. Grab a snack and something to drink cause....This is 3 hours hahaha (I talked a lot at the end) but yeah!

The books point to a more clear route on what happens to her, (although still to interpretation) while the movie leaves it more open ended. It’s not believed Snow actually killed her himself (although again could have wounded her if not hallucinations movie wise) but it does I think help drive him mad.

The drive is an animal drive of survival, and emotions like anger and lust are actually stronger in the brain chemically. The choices to be good are harder, than falling to nature. So in this case yes snow wasn’t ever good, but neither were many. Even Lucy, or Sejanus.

Thank you for the reaction :) they really did make me root for the villain lol (we need movies like that sometimes) *not for the games, just for a success of someone going towards his goal. The character even in the hunger games was GENIUS. Hate what he does but AMAZING character. LOVE IT. The actor for snow was phenomenal, I didn’t fully like the portrayal of Lucy Gray but she did well too. I don’t believe Coriolanus was gone at the point he killed the tribute; I think when he fully thought Lucy used him the entire time post snake bite was when he chose to cross that line into evil and decided it. The paranoia was evident, betrayal is one of the worst feelings- and on her end she couldn’t trust him so it all fell apart perfectly. One thing I like to remember is these capitol kids were raised in a society used to that situation and preached that the districts were an enemy. That the hunger games are normal. It’s easy to go with the crowd. Even in our time. So I don’t blame the kids, I think the enemy is still the people who are in power making the decisions, the people are just sheep. I don’t blame Snow for what he became although he did become, not good. The scary thing is people say he was never truly good- but the reality, not one person even in real life is truly good from the beginning. (I mean the trauma from the Dark Years alone was probably what caused the severe paranoia and issues) I would love a second movie of his continued rise!!!! It’s fun!

We went to see this new film together and I wasn't expecting much but it blew my mind it was incredible! I had so many questions in the end but in a good way. Now I gotta go back and watch all the other movies. Hope you enjoyed this - I'll come back to the comments when I watch your reaction - thank you for sharing it with us!!

I loved the way you interpreted the movie as well with regards to how you looked at Snow throughout the movie. I read a comment on another reaction that said a lot of people watch this movie and are looking for the turning point at which Snow becomes "evil" when in reality he was never truly a good person. He had moments throughout the movie like you said but he always had very self-serving intentions and as it was pointed out by Dean Highbottom in the movie, was conveniently able to help Lucy Gray while also winning the Games and the Plinth Prize at the same time. I didn't read the book but I know that the ending is also a cliffhanger when it comes to what happened to Lucy Gray but they do kind of foreshadow her disappearing and it being a mystery in the movie (it's the scene when they're at the lake and she's singing about Lucy Gray, herself, and Snow asks her what happens to Lucy Gray in the song). Anyways sorry for the long comment but thank you again for the reaction I loved it so much!!!

I was not expecting those beautiful vocals from the female lead!😲❤️🎶 Loved Viola Davis' acting, she gave me chills when she 1st spoke. And Peter Dinklage's lines were really powerful too.
