With my friends it's when we ordering, we order strategically, if we getting different stuff and one is interested in tasting something he didn't order, it's already been decided that we sharing a piece and of course we always have that one friend that never finish his plate so you can expect some left overs from him x)

I like sharing food, but I grew up eating family style. I just like little bites of different things.
I will say tho, that I do have a friend and whenever she and I go out, we order 2-3 times the amount of food we can eat. End up taking most home.
However, if someone is clear they don’t want to share, that’s fine too. No biggie. I get my own.
