TV anime from Japan are mixed in 2.0 stereo...it is sad. US disc releases usually have a higher mix, but it's for the dub. Movies get the higher 5.1 + mixes. Sometimes they release an enhanced mix version of the TV series for boxes but it is rare. I can only think of 4 with 5.1 mixes. Evangelion, Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell SAC, and Girls und Panzer. I'm sure there are more but not a lot more. Oddly, Girls und Panzer when it first came out was 2.1 mix which was I think the first time any anime TV was mixed in 2.1. I so though the bride and groom would be dead...now I think there won't be any more deaths to any of the characters...I would have liked to see some brutal action but that comedy routine...it was like when #8 first peed put of his nipples...crashed the mood. Funny, but you couldn't take it serious for a bit. #4 weapon seems well, a waste. Like how many of those launch planes do they have?
