2024-03-13 05:21:33 +0000 UTCI’m actually looking forward to this, I’ve read so many Chinese stories that I know a lot of the normal tropes in them. I wonder how the dialogue will be handled in this anime because a lot of high class Chinese people use poems in their speech frequently because it’s a sign of higher education and intelligence. There are also so many common sayings that appear everywhere like “refusing a toast only to drink a forfeit” or some variation of that or “frog in a well” or maybe since she’s a commoner someone will say “a toad trying to eat swan meat.” I hope this really captures how interesting Chinese stories can be so we can get more Donghua.
