It was mentioned before about the special blood traits from specific groups, like Shin's Onyx and Pyrope blood giving him Enhanced Martial Abilities and Psychometry (his unique ability to hear the Legion), so I decided to expand on it a little with a list of the races, groups and their subgroups, plus any known special traits. I've tried to keep it as light on spoilers as possible, so I've only mentioned characters known at the present episode and the places that these groups come from but not whether these places are still around. Race: Vespertina - Alba (San Magnolia) consists of the Celena (Nobility like Lena and Annette), Alabasta, and Adularia. Only the Celena had an Esper trait called Intimidation but this was lost due to the dilution of their subgroup's genetics. From what I remember, Lena is a pure Celena so it wouldn't surprise me if she has actually got the blood trait as some kind of atavism considering her Bloody Regina side that appeared when she coerced Annette into hacking the mortars and also when she talked to her new superior in Ep12. This is merely conjecture though as it hasn't been officially stated in the English Light Novels, I'm not sure about the Japanese ones. - Aurata (Holy Theocracy of Noiryanaruse) consists of the Heliodor, who possess Threat Detection, Topaz (Kurena Kukumila's subgroup), and Citrine. - Aquila (Giadian Empire/Federal Republic) consists of the Eisen (Raiden Shuga's subgroup), Jet, and Onyx (Shinei and Shourei's Father's subgroup) who are all incredibly tolerant to drugs and alcohol but only the Onyx have Enhanced Martial Prowess. - Caerulea (Alliance of Wald) consists of the Celesta (Anju Emma's subgroup), Sapphira (Daiya Irma's Subgroup) which have the Precognition ability. and L'asile. - Ferruginea (Northern Giad) consists of the Cairn and Amber but have no special traits. - Rubela (Giadian Empire/Federal Republic) consists of the Agate (Kurena Kukumila is also part of this subgroup), Pyrope (Shinei and Shourei 's Mother's subgroup) who possess the Psychometry ability, Rubis (Haruto Keats' subgroup), and Spinel. - Veridia (From the continent's southern coast) consists of Aventura, Emeraud, and Jade (Theoto Rikka's subgroup). No known special abilities. - Viola (United Kingdom of Roa Gracia) consists of the Amethysta who have Enhanced Intellect, Iola, and Taaffe. Race: Non-Vespertina (These come from the Far East.) - Austra/Meridiana (Kujo Nico's subgroup). No known abilities. - Deseria. No known abilities. - Orienta (Kaie Taniya's subgroup). No known abilities.

And im not sure whether it's later in the story but it doesn't affect much it's just a lore so if u want to read.... but the reason Shin and Frederica look alike is because they have the same mixed blood... Pyrope and Onix blood... The royal family is a mix of those 2 families that served the Giad empire... That also the reason Shins parents escaped to the Republic... His two parents were from those 2 families respectively so the royal family and thei own families didn't look kindly upon their union... Shourei has the features of Pyrope blood which is the red hair while Shin has the features of Onyx blood... One of the families has mental powers forgot which family it is while the others( which Nouzen family belongs to) has great martial abilities
