This show is incredibly detailed so let's have some fun fact details: - if I am not wrong 86 has some implications of "to be disposed of" though the exact context escapes me, I believe it might have been a code name for a millitary disposal form or something - Para-Raid, the device they use to communicate, i believe is a play on Raid-storage devices, a method of computer storage that divides the data between two devices and uses an equation at the end. That way if there are any gaps you can reverse engineer the equation to restore the data. That's not how the device in the show works (atleast I don't think so) but a fun reference nonetheless. - two of the mechs go down in the opening, plus kujo that makes 3 people in the flower fields in the OP at the end. RIP o7 - when Lena is talking to Pleiades squadron, the subtitles translate it as "sorry" but the exact word she uses is "Zannen", which I will better explain the significance of in ep3 - and for a final bit of script brilliance: "say hello to the Reaper for me" the member of pleiades squad is simultaneously telling her to go die while telling her to say hi to the guy that makes people shoot themselves...
