I agree and disagree. You're right on all points. But I feel that if they were gonna cut down on anything, this arc was the one to cut. Frankly, they might as well have skipped it altogether because even if they had shown more, to most anime only viewers, it would have felt like nothing really "happened". I'd say it was mostly some build up of Nagumo. Everything else wasn't too consequential to our main protag. Ayanokoji is somewhat removed from the interactions that happened this arc so I wouldn't place too much stock into how this arc was adapted. It was gonna be a wash either way.

To the point that what they did choose to show feels kinda pointless when they cut out all the interactions/setup surrounding what made these things actually matter to begin with. This arc was our first look into ALOT of the innerworkings/interactions with people from every class and year grade. I guess they are saving their time for the last two arcs that they are seemingly trying to rush to, which seeing what the op is hinting at feels like they are gonna strip those bare as well, considering the amount of episodes they have to work with is definitely not enough to cover said arcs well. This series should have a been a 24 episode per season from the start. At least the OP slaps and the animation looks a bit more consistent so far, that is about the only good thing i can say at this point which is a shame, as this series deserved better. Good reaction Regardless though.
