Helo helo, welcome to the third quarterly recap of 2021! I will pretend I'm not 2 month and 30 days late to it and rather get right into the most interesting matters.

With no doubt the highlight of the past month is the SAGE demo. For this special occasion we added the second zone (cava rattina), a brand new rhythm ara and the primer of what's to become the true intro of the game. As usual you can check all of this over at my Itch page or directly at the SAGE 2021 booth

Last time I anticipated the arrival of a new 3D artist. Well, here they are! As you can tell from the new objects in the demo, they've already been working on props for a few months now. No need to spend too many words on the matter right now, as time passes you'll see zones getting filled more and more with their colorful models.

Oh btw, they drew this by themselves! They make many more cute drawings over at their twitter.

The months leading up to SAGE were pretty bizzarre development-wise: unlike the past years, there wasn't any extended rush time during the weeks leading up to SAGE; the main reason for that was that the premise a matter of including new content to what was an already functioning game.

Now, I ended up getting a tad too comfortable in the last week before SAGE, which led me to discover (and fix) some crucial zone loading bugs at the very last minute, which means I ended up working non-stop between the day before SAGE and... an hour before the event started, simply because I had to build and upload at that point. I ended up successfully submitting the game one minute before the event, 9am my time. Only then I could finally go to sleep and try to recover from the sudden stress, with very little success.
In brief due to countless more plans I had during September (among which school exams, 2 scrapped attempts at joining other virtual events, and an ambitious Interrail to do 2 weeks later) I ended up having to delay my "relax" plans to the 4th quarter of 2021.

Now to the last section of the recap, the art that was made in the past few months!
This one time the highlight is VAdaPEGA's hand drawn sketch, since it's what he handed me in a undisclosed location in northern Germany when we met for the first time at the end of September. He drew it over the course of the train trip leading there!

We'll see each other in a new post pretty soon! in the meantime feel free to check out pink ferret content at the link below. Bye!
