But it wasn't really because his father showed up at a match -- I don't think we ever actually met his father through the whole novel, or if he even contacted the man till perhaps the end. I think he just figured there was no longer any reason to hide since he's now well over-age and the family already know what he's doing anyways. Especially with this being a new chapter for him in the League -- new team, who dis? (FYI, audio got a bit weird around the 31-minute mark there)

2023-05-06 15:01:48 +0000 UTCMinor correction -- you can play in both the team match and the individual matches. The order is like so: -- Individual Challenge: 3 separate 1-v-1s by 3 separate people from each team. -- Group (Arena) Challenge: 1-v-1s between 3 different people from each team -- these players must not have participated in the Individual Challenges. When a player dies, they're replaced by the next person on their team -- but the winner remains and continues into the next battle, like a relay race. When all the players from a team have been defeated, the other team gets 2 points. -- Team Challenge: 5-v-5 team competition, with 1 substitute on each team. For this Challenge, the players can be selected at will, doesn't matter if they participated in previous challenges. Thus, the minimum number of people you need in a League Team is 6. The allocations of which players play in which Challenges, must've been done before the match, lists provided to the organizers. I don't think I liked how the LA briefly brought back the whole Guo-Guo-is-incompetent arc, just to emphasize the underdog situation 😑️ Or how they tried to take away Yi Fan's own awesomeness by inserting YX's voice-over in his match -- Yi Fan's a pretty smart dude, he was making amazing plays in the LN. But you know how it is with the drama ...
