The ultimate jerbait was thinking Neji and Chouji were dead, and usually I consider fake-out deaths to be really cheap ways of eliciting those emotions without having to actually sacrifice any characters, but in this case it was REALLY well done, so I was happy with the reveal that they were all ok. And again I love the little interactions with Shikamaru and Temari. That angle shot of her from below as she sat was so deliberate lol. But they really do make a nice match imo. She gives Shikamaru a hard time, but he needs a strong woman to do that for him and keep him standing strong. I mean the fact that, ever since their fight where he left her in a daze, she came to HIS rescue and went to sit with him at the hospital says to me she's interested and cares at least a bit about what he's going through. I was also surprised Naruto's hair-brained speech back to Jiraiya worked, after what Jiraiya just got done lecturing to him. But it was a pretty hype moment and it got to him. Such energy! Also since I watched the subs from early on up, this was the first time hearing the other Akatsuki's English voices for me. It was only Itachi and Kisame I'd heard in English before. I don't know if the voices carry over to the English dub of Shippuden, but ONE of the members in this episode (and I honestly can't tell who it was) had the same English voice actor as Axel from Kingdom Hearts 2, 3, and Dream Drop Distance. REALLY cool because that dude's charisma is ON FIRE!
