Despite the downcast mood of Sasuke leaving, this episode with Shikamaru picking and planning the squad got me so excited. But while Lee gets shafted here and there, I think it's the girls who get shafted more. The most powerful/talented/capable of the female Genin is definitely Hinata, but Neji is more capable with those unique skills. Kishimoto's writing for the female characters was always a peeve of mine. They're definitely no Mikasa from Attack on Titan, or RIza Hawkeye from Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood lol. And that line about Sasuke having to "die once" was ominous af when I first heard it. Oh yeah, and I'm not 100% sure, but that one ninja who found Sakura on the bench (with the wrap on his now) I think has the same voice actor who does Gaara's voice. It sounds REALLY similar.
