Hey Karl, this is a tough one to answer via text, but I'll do my best. I will also include a brief overview in my next rendering tutorial! I render exrs. In resolve, I generally keep everything as standard. So, I don't change resolve color space into ACES. Then, in the color tab I can use an aces color transform to change my color sequences into the correct color space. USUALLY, I'll do 2 aces transforms. So it'll go AcesCG - AcesCCT Do color correction AcesCCT - sRGB Hope that makes sense and helps!

Hi! Meaning to ask for quite a while now! What's your workflow with exporting the exr files from Redshift to a compositing/editing software? Especially regarding all the color space stuff? I am using Resolve for most of my editing and when I bring in the exr files, the colors are usually way out of whack. To more or less fix this, i switch over to ACEScct in the project settings and set the color space to ACEScg, which gets me close to the colors what I see in the RenderView. Then I go and faff around in color correction. Every time I've Googled this I get super confused and frustrated and I still end up with faffing around in color space selections until I get it about right.

Thanks Paul! I use VLC for "fast playback." It handles nearly all codecs and is a very lightweight app. Good for tutorials and what not. Then I use DJV which is great for more "technical" playback. It has per frame abilites, you can also load image sequences in it to view. There is also "quickview" which mimics Mac's "spacebar" preview ability. I use that a lot too.

Excellent rendering. Always fun to follow along. I wanted to ask what video player you use as well as what image viewer you recommend? (I'm new to Windows, coming over from the Mac.)
