Pretty Boy, Final News + Update

The surgeon meant to do Pretty Boy's amputation (who is exceedingly experienced and qualified, we were lucky to get her), did the final check before the procedure and determined that the cancer was both aggressive and had spread from his leg too far into his abdomen. At this point, she could take the leg and the cancer would come back in two weeks or less. We've been given a prognosis of one month, two maximum, and signs to look for when it's time.

Pretty Boy has filled our days with the sweetest, fluffiest, purest, most innocent love for twelve years, and as Tamaris' (The Wife's) cat you simply can't overstate the love and bond she has with him. Imagine the most disgustingly adoring relationship a cat and owner can have, then triple it. We've been grateful every second, and our lives were immeasurably better, kinder, and softer for the privilege of knowing him.

I was going to make a fundraising video for the remainder of his vet bills, but you can understand why that's not possible for me right now. At this moment I'm not changing my current return-to-filming date of 1/20--art and media have been a central coping mechanism of mine since childhood--but the reading livestreams will most likely be delayed. I'm gonna take it week to week, because with the past 3 1/2 months we've had and now this, there's no telling what I'll need at any given moment. So whatever I need at the time, I'll do my best to accommodate.
