Folktales From The Philippines EBOOK

This PDF EBook "Folktales From The Philippines" is a compilation of 30 different folktales from the Philippines, originating from various ethnic groups and regions of the Islands. Each story features its own original illustration (by me!) and is categorized into Origin & Creation Stories, Hero Stories, and Animal Stories.

These folktales from the Islands are sourced from and heavily inspired by those from two public domain sources complied in the early 20th century, namely Philippine Folk Tales (1916) by Mable Cooke Cole and Filipino Popular Tales (1921) by Dean S. Fansler. The stories featured within this text are from both the Pre-Colonial and Colonial eras. Therefore, some of the tales have material that is wholly indigenous and pre-Christian in character, while other tales have a syncretic quality, blending elements of native folk culture and beliefs with that of Europeans.

I hope you enjoy!
