I've just watched the last episode and what you said about endings is so true. I find it hard to get invested in new series because I know there is a strong chance there will be no clear end. I loved Merlin. The one thing I felt let down by was the promise that Arthur and Merlin would bring back magic together, which never really happened. But that was just a minor quibble about a great show. Thanks for your reactions.

In the DVD commentary, Alexander Vlahos (Mordred) talked about how difficult it was to film the scenes with the Dolma because he and Bradley James kept breaking down laughing. There's one little scene where it cuts away from the two of them very quickly because they could never do a take without laughing.

2024-05-31 08:02:33 +0000 UTCYou asked about where in the UK the castle was, it's actually not in the UK at all. Merlin was shot in Wales, England, and France and "Camelot" is in fact the Château de Pierrefonds in France (not very far from Paris).
