Comments

I was wondering if you ever rewatched the show could you do a reaction for the rewatch? I would be every interested to hear your thoughts watching it for the second time cause im rewatching now and it sure is blowing my mind!!

Rowan

finally got caught up with your reactions and god this season was absolutely outstanding like oh my god - from the writing to the cinematography to the music to the costumes (looking at you carol, i love and hate you in equal measure) and finally the ACTING like every single actor delivered in every way and more!!!! cant wait for your reaction to the behind the scenes!!!!

Olivia

Just adding my wish for you to react to the RICHES dropped upon this fandom like a sandbag at SDCC!! It's a great time to be alive!!

Laurie Kyle

Right?!

Chelsea George

You gotta check out the comic con teaser that dropped a few days ago! (if you're so inclined)

Chloe Grover

I am fuckin HYPED

Chloe Grover

Please react to the season 3 teaser and the song Long Face for season 3 that just dropped! They're both so good and I'd love to see your reaction and analysis of them :D

DysfunctionalCreature

Just seen the Comic Con teaser for S3, I'm a little bit stunned

Chelsea George

YES YES YES Armand and Daniel are my FAV couple in the book!!!!!!! This is the thing I thought would be spoiling, now you know, I can scream about it!!!! 啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊啊

jdkkw Li

This was such a perfect season finale but not at all surprised from such a perfect show. I loved your detailed analysis. Since the first time reaction didn’t work out this was such a great way to still finish out the season. Looking forward to the bts reaction and cant wait to see what they do with season 3.

Stephanie Hensley

I would love to see your rewatches of the first two season while we all wait for rockstar lestat

Lane Huizinga

Meant to continue: But this series is so NOT about the shipping, like people really need to stop reducing everything to The Winning Ship and instead enjoy the chaos and art. And ALL the characters.

threerings

Don't feel too bad for Armand fans. Most of them like him BECAUSE he's a terrible person. At least the ones I know. Also the book fans are generally just looking to show only fans like...what? We been knew. (Also the Armand fans I know are mostly Devil's Minion fans, which is not spoilery to say if you don't know what that is, lol.) Mostly the fan drama/shipping drama in the fandom is a result of the prescence of large numbers of Lestat antis who just wrote him off as an abuser end-of-story in S1, and have yet to adjust to anything we've learned in S2 about that relationship and Louis' own flaws. So I think some show-only Armand fans were about Loumand as an alternative to Loustat.

threerings

Omg another the newsreader watcher!! I started that show bcs of Sam but i didnt know i wouldve ended up liking it as much as i did. I cant wait to see how they wrap it up in s3

Anne

Finally watched this and I really enjoyed getting all your thoughts when you could pause and actually talk them out instead of having to immediately react to the next thing. I will say, your comment that people will already be saying that it was obvious which way the show would go, you're quite right that it's already started! But many viewers have read the books, so we do tend to say that sort of thing purely because we know where the story is headed even if not the precise way the show will choose to get there. Like having the broad strokes and waiting to see how the show writers will fill in those outlines 😄 The waiting game for S3 is going to be hard, at least the Sam Reid fans get another season of his other chaos bi role in the Newsreader to tide us over? It's a small comfort while we wait for our favourite rock star vampire to grace our screens again!

Bee

I kinda like that we got so little reaction from Louis after the reveal because like out of spite you constructed this lie you’ve lived in the past 7 or so decades fully knowing it is a lie but not admitting it to yourself and then you find out even the lie is a lie and such a fundamental one at that? There’s just nothing left to say at that point. I think that if Armand hadn’t gone after him there would have been no reaction at all and he would have just wordlessly left that apartment.

rese

Please react to the IWTV cast on TV Insider & TV Guide youtube they have so many videos of the casts that you could react to such as answering fan question, jam reiderson (jacob & sam duo name) + delaney reaction of their scenes, assad eric reaction of their scene, the cast playing games, the main cast interview there on TV Insider & TV Guide youtube, I hope you could also react to that because the casts are so amazing yet different from their dark characters in the show esp Jacob & Assad that's very bubbly in real life, Jam Reiderson friendship, Delaney being the best girl, and Eric being Eric lol hope you will do this reaction of iwtv cast from TV Insider & TV Guide channel, I enjoyed your Kinn Porsche contents too back then after the show was done, hope you will do the same for IWTV since we have a year to wait for S3 ❤️ PS: I can't wait for Lestat, Louis & Gabrielle in S3. Sam Reid keeps saying it'd be interesting to see the dynamic between Lestat, his mom Gabrielle, and his husband Louis in one frame together, can't wait for Louis to finally meet his mother-in-law, can't wait for Lestat rockstar era, can't wait for Armand & the gang to destroy the concert and drag Daniel with him too, can't wait for the car scene in the book for Lestat, Louis & Gabrielle, can't wait for the moment Akasha take Lestat from Louis just like in the book, I will cry again.

Purple Honey

i really really enjoyed this deeper analysis on the episode it was so entertaining cant wait to see the bts video

Anne

loved your re-watch and i'm really excited to see where they go with louis and lestat next season. their dynamic is going to be so interesting and i have faith the show will deliver because it's clear to me the show is invested in their love story and all its ups and down. i agree that i love their reunion wasn't about getting back together because it's much too soon for that but instead them grieving their daughter that yes, they failed massively, but they did love. and i LOVE that rolin jones the showrunner gave jacob and sam that moment together. in an interview he said he wanted to give them a gift for themselves and also as a gift to what they've done for those characters and for their personal friendship as well. i love that so much. so excited to see you watch the bts video! this is such a lovely wonderful cast. also excited to see you watch the MASTERPIECE that is the extended trailer (also lovingly known as the 'the rolin cut' since the showrunner cut it himself altho i know he gave credit to others as well). it's one of the best trailers i've ever seen.

1234

Thank you so much for doing this reaction that was a great discussion of episode 8, I'm so glad we got your thoughts even if they weren't first time reactions. I very am excited for any behind the scenes or other show content you will react to in the future!

AngelicMouseGirl

Do you think that part of the reason why Louis has so many issues with his memory because of all of the different scenarios that he was imagining when he was starving in the coffin? Especially with the madness that followed

Masa

Oh wow, I didn't even think of Claudia/Madeline. .THIS SHOW IS GOING TO KILL ME.

Laurie Kyle

“Siri pause” and the way imaginary Lestat sarcastically mimicked “I love you” when we first see Louis say that to Armand are my two favorite deliveries from Sam ever. He’s so amazing at the drama, but when he gets a moment of humor it haunts me.

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

Omg you’ve broken my heart. Is it a parent clutching a child, or Claudia clutching Madeline as they burn? I’m destroyed!

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

The way I RAN to my computer when I saw you had updated! I must have seen 20+ reactions to Ep. 8, but I knew yours would be so deep and just ...CORRECT. And I also knew that I would still cry right along with you, since I have cried at the reconciliation scene every single time. SIGH . The new painting in Dubai is Shelter by Peter Macon. He painted it during COVID, and I think it's a parent sheltering a child? I'm sure you can find more detail, but OW already. See you for Season 3 and everything in between!

Laurie Kyle

Just watched your ep 8 reaction and I just wanted to say that I was one of the people who was disappointed there wasn't a loustat reunion even though I understand completely that Louis should be on his own for awhile. It's just I worry that it'll get dragged out for too long and the show will get canceled or something, because nothing is guaranteed in tv these days. Plus, I'm an instant gratification person, and don't really enjoy slow burns that much... and I wouldn't want to waste Jacob and Sam's chemistry, but that's just me. Like I said, I get why they did what they did though and I'll just have to learn to be patient. The fight scene between Louis and Armand in San Fransisco hits different now that we know why Louis basically trapped both he and Armand in the relationship. "Our problems aren't about him" HAHA OKAY LOUIS, SURE. And it's no wonder Louis called Armand boring when he's used to Lestat's shenanigans. And also, Louis and Armand f*cking and eating all those men in those photographs, they were just living out Lestat's fantasy that he suggested way back when to Lous!! So like, in one way or another, Lestat was always there. It's crazy looking back at the season as a whole and going oh my god the whole time. And that's what I've been doing since 2x08 aired. I'm insane.

Jamie

I had such a profound reaction to Jacob's delivery of "I didn't know I was screaming." You are right, it is so haunting. All of the actors on this show are such a gift. Jacob, Sam, Assad, Delaney. I have never see such a talented cast. I will be rewatching until Season 3.

Megan Anne

Both Louis and Lestat have been in stasis for the past 77 years. Louis felt nothing. Lestat went into darkness. They're two parents who have lost a child, but they never allowed themselves to feel it. Now, the dam broke and they can begin to morn, and then they can begin to heal.

MavenCree

Technically it's Siri playing. lol

MavenCree

And thank Louis for putting one of my terrors on the screen. When his face appears in the dark window of the graveyard tomb.... Just a face looking in from the darkness. Nope. Nope. No thank you sir.

MavenCree

It's finally here! Bless you, I hope your drink of choice is always just right, your pillow is always cool and every day is good hair day!

LukeLemon

i am so unbelievably excited for devils minion like i honestly can not wait!!!!! armand and daniel are my 2 favourite characters so this is the best thing ever, also before i even found out that they were a thing i kept catching looks between the 2 of them throughout the season that made me go “oh whats this maybe there is something there” and the vibes between them both in 70s and present day was so interesting to me so when i found out i was ecstatic!! cant wait to see how they navigate this in the show given that younger daniel gets turned in the books and its older daniel in the series!!!!!

Olivia

It is here! ❤️

Lilah Kane

Honestly there might be a lot to be gained from a rewatch reaction considering all that went on in that episode

Astrid

Accidents happen. Looking forward to the rewatch reaction. Have a great vacation. ❤️

Stephanie Hensley

Live re-watch (maybe) ???? :D :D :D :D (Emotional support definitely needed.)

MavenCree

I made strangled noises, I laughed, I good and bad cried, got a shock, grinned evilly, had my heart broken and put back together, and when it was all over, I stared at the wall and smoked a cigarette in exhaustion. And if you watched it like I know you did....minus the cigarette ( Nasty habit) You know exactly what I mean. ;-)

Areanna Whitewolf

I like many other can not wait to see Britney's riveting reaction to IWTV S. 2 E. 8. But that being said , I am a bit of a purest. I like to watch the episodes untouched the first time. It gives me time to feel my own feelings and to draw my own conclusions first. That being said, I have lot to say in this little spiel. Whilst I will try very hard not to give away spoilers, you will kindly forgive me if I either make a mistake on that front and/or rant a little ( But in a good way. ) I was fourteen years old when I saw the 1994 film of Interview with the Vampire for the very first time. It started me on a oddly obsessive study of vampires all together. I read the entirety of Anne Rice's Vampire chronicles after that. With that came a new found love of studying vampire lore, reading every vampire novel I could get my hands on, and seeing every movie or show that starred a vampire in it. I wanted to understand why that first movie mesmerized me so much. Was it the vampire itself or something far deeper that my young brain simply couldn't grasp. Now, several years later, having finished the first two seasons of this new show, I get to learn all over again with the eyes of an adult. I finally understand what held me so stunned in the first place. It's not a single character, or relationship. It's the very complexity of how every little thing is a big stitch in the tapestry. How every single character tells his or her own interview through Louis' eyes. Though a few facts may be confused, or even forgotten ( Or lied about entirely) nothing is left out in full. Louis, Armand, Lestat, Claudia, even ( hisses ) Santiago ( Ben Davis is awesome, but his character is a bastard)....all the "Actors" in the "Play" adds something to the tale. And not matter how loved, how hated, how good or evil they were, all their stories, in whatever small part, is tragically and magically beautiful. Whether book, movie, or show, Anne Rice's masterpiece will forever hold my heart. And after this Season finale, I can't see that changing any time soon. When season 3 ( YES THEY HAVE A SEASON 3 GREENLITE ALREADY!!!!) rolls out it's threads to add to this wonderful work of art, you can bet your butt ( and mine) I will be glued to my seat, ever ready for the curtain to unfold.

Areanna Whitewolf

Enjoy your vacation!!! Footage accidents happen and while it's a damn shame to not have your first reaction I am keeping my fingers crossed that you doing a second watch is going to come with a higher ratio of commentary to strangled sounds 😜 Edit to add: I barely breathed throughout the finale and made mostly strangled sounds myself

Jhaernyl

Dang it I was looking forward to how you felt with all the reveals and feels of the finale. I can't wait for your rewatch though. Hope you have a great vacation.

Catherine Thurmond

Oh nooo! Not gonna lie, I kinda feel like a child denied dessert after the delicious meal that was the finale. 😩😅 I get that shit happens though, I hope you enjoy your vacation!

Wika Ela

Is ep 8 already out?

Nea

E7: When we see Sam's guarding Armand, we also see (especially in the first shot of him there) that he's holding scythe. The coven is also slow a few times to silence outbursts from Claudia and Louis and Lestat going off-script. What if Armand's achilles tendons were also cut, so he'd be slow enough Sam really could behead him with that scythe? What if the coven was also doing mental battle on Armand? When we see Lestat in S1 make all the soldiers leave the home, he gets a nose bleed. Armand is stronger, but this is a larger building with many more people with heightened emotions. It's believable he couldn't pull the banishment hypnosis trick enough to save all three of them. And if he let Claudia live but not Madeline, Claudia really would throw herself into a fire like Armand told Madeline she eventually would, and that might have been even worse for Louis's mental health. If this happened, would you forgive Armand? I do.

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

the "i could not prevent it" reeks of insincerity and i love my man Armand but honey a couple of episodes ago you put every single vampire in the coven to sleep with ONE word, and you can freeze an entire street full of ppl without breaking a sweat and youre telling me having a small theater of humans say one word "took all your strenght" and that sam the playwriter was holding you hostage??? sam?? you werent even chained!!

Anne

S3!!!👏🏻👏🏻

Nea

Just announced by AMC, it's been renewed for S3!

Chelsea George

Update: seen it. Was glad for the advice, I didn't cry but it was close. The acting was exceptional and I have no other words right now

Chelsea George

Armand a couple of episodes ago: "ENOUGH!" *Slams his hand on the table and effortlessly puts every vampire in the coven to sleep* Armand in this episode: "There was nothing I could do to stop it. I was a prisoner just like Louis and Claudia. The vampire Sam was standing next to me holding a prop scythe🥺" Not to mention the fact that we see from Louis POV that Sam was one of the vampires burying Louis the coffin downstairs, so clearly Armand wasn't being "guarded" all that thoroughly🙄 Listen, I love Armand, he's my beloved fucked up little gremlin, but man he's such a bad liar. He's literally THE most powerful vampire we've met thus far in the show, and yet he constantly tries to play the "I'm just a little guy🥺" card. (I do have some theories as to what he was actually using his power for during most of the performance, but I shan't say in case I'm wrong.) I love the extra context we get for certain scenes in this episode. The reveal of how Claudia was actually turned had me GAGGED! The way Louis calls her—a complete stranger—"our beautiful daughter" as he drags her burned body along the floor by the arm like a child with a broken toy... Indescribable. Nothing has ever hit me in the gut as viscerally as that moment did. The absolute horror of it all was just *chef's kiss*. I LOVE how fucked up they all are. There's something about it that makes me empathize with them even in their monstrousness, especially in their monstrousness. Every time one of our main characters does something unbelievably inhumane, or we get a peek into how deeply disturbed they are, I can't help but giggle maniacally and kick my feet. I love it so much! I also love that we got to see what happened in the part of their fight that was off-screen back in S1E5. I obviously don't think it justifies what Lestat did in the end, but I'm glad we got the full context, and I love seeing Louis pull out some of the cruelty and brutality we know he's capable of. (In case it wasn't obvious by now, I get a kick out of seeing my favorite toxic bitches be horrible to each other.) I'm genuinely really proud of Lestat for fully owning up to and apologizing for the terrible harm he did to Louis. It was such a good scene, and Sam Reid gave an absolutely stunning performance! Everyone obviously did an incredible job as always in this episode, I could sing their praises all day, but that moment really stood out to me. I can't talk about Claudia and Madeleine too much bc I will simply devolve into screaming and crying, but the one thing I will say is this; Claudia finally found someone who actually loved her enough to put her first, and I will never forgive the Paris coven for taking her happiness away from her when she'd only just found it.

HeathenPotato

WeTransfer is cooperating again! I only posted the new link just now, so it may need a couple hours to process. <3

Brittany Diamond

I figured out what was up with WeTransfer, there's a new link in the post. <3

Brittany Diamond

Oh my god, he DID say that in 1x01. Lol wouldn't it be wild if, following the plot twist at the end of season one, that Lestat had been buried underneath the tree this whole time? Not that Armand would allow that unless there were very specific circumstances we never knew about, but this is what happens with a good mystery show, the brain goes all sorts of places.

Brittany Diamond

I love the little detail in Sam's performance where his accent is SLIGHTLY different, slightly less heavy with his French accent -- because this is 'the real' Lestat in a way, not just Louis' exaggerated memory of him.

Nicole Mazza

I can't even use vidyard because the video blinks and vanishes..

Areanna Whitewolf

I actually prefer WeTranfer cause I like to download your videos...

MavenCree

Episode 7 broke my heart for so many reasons. I'm glad you picked up on the rocks because I thought the same, and then I thought back to 1x01 when Daniel asked Louis where his coffin was, and Louis said "You're standing in it". I was like are we still in that coffin metaphorically? Is it self-imposed or did someone put you there, Louis? Or is someone buried under those rocks in Dubai? My mind was kind of spinning with all these theories. I also liked Lestat taking responsibility for the fall and what came after and I know that irl, we don't or can't forgive something like that this easily and I don't think Claudia would at all, but Louis will because they're vampires and they live for forever and they love each other. Of course, Lestat and Lous are going to do horrible things to each other and forgive each other until the end of time, if they didn't, they'd be alone forever and bored (Louis called Armand boring for a reason). It's different for Claudia though because like she said, it was never about her. They loved her, sure, but not as much as they love each other. Which is sad because of the way it ended. Claudia finally had someone pick her for once and then she died. :( Also, let's just appreciate the Sam Reid and Jacob Anderson chemistry for a second because there have not been that many scenes of them interacting this time around compared to season one, and the chemistry between them is somehow even more intense, and watching them together is like watching a bomb go off. Phew. Sorry this got so long. I'm having a lot of feelings!!

Jamie

Okay 🥲 thanks Areanna 🫣

Chelsea George

No spoilers...but bring tissues and huggable creature or stuffed animal of your choice

Areanna Whitewolf

I haven't seen it yet but these comments about ep7 are worrying me 🙈

Chelsea George

Ep7 hurts my face, and my heart, and ....I think I am going to go cry in a corner now

Areanna Whitewolf

Ep 7 destroyed me 🫠

Bee

🙃Ep7 is…. Ep7ing….

jdkkw Li

*no spoilers* We know what's coming. We knew it when they reached paris....we all know what's coming. (Raises a glass of Mikes H. Raspberry lemonade) For now let us drink and live in denial. For the tragic horror of it all has not yet reached us.

Areanna Whitewolf

Yep! So happy that they're going with that instead of leaving him out like the film did!

Nicole Mazza

Yes, Lestat is involved in “that” in the books, too!!!!

jdkkw Li

If they add certain things from the book in the next episode (and I hope they doooo so bad)…… ep 7 is gonna destroy me 😭

Stephanie Carroll

I love your reactions. Thank you for confirming that my mind being on "does not compute" to be normal. I can't wait for next week but oh how I know I'll be drinking something strong with this next episode maybe a Whiskey? You?💜😭

Catherine Thurmond

Yes! Good call. And now the painting in their bedroom makes sense! I also loved Madeline eating the apple before she becomes a vampire. Very symbolic of knowledge and new awareness of good and evil.

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

Your S2E6 reaction: SAME HERE. Thank you, I needed to watch you process this to realize it cannot be processed until we see how it pans out in the next eps. Love your reactions, Vidyard is working great, good luck with your broken brain for the next week (and know yours isn't the only broken one).

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

The way the show doesn't hide away from knowing that every character is screwed up and no one is a good person. Underlying it all is this reservoir of strange love between Louie and lestat which shouldn't make sense but does. We're finally going to be shown just how skewed Louie's memory is and how complicit Armand is. It's a band aid. Band aids aren't meant to last.

iamafanfictionfreak

The Judas kiss in the cafe right before Armand's betrayal is revealed I feel insane!!!!!

HeathenPotato

🫣Waiting for episode 6🫣🫣

jdkkw Li

Omg I love that when Brittany has beef with Carol, it’s because it’s unbearable how talented and clever Carol is!

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

Hiii Brittany!!! Here is a Interview with Carol! The costume designer for IWTV!!! I think you would be interested!!! https://x.com/hello_tailor/status/1801005480640119125?s=46&t=c9BCRL_wOt-SqKjdP3II1g

jdkkw Li

It's so funny too because I recently watched a long interview with Assad on the 'AutumnBottomBrown' YouTube channel (which is so good for IWTV stuff!) and he is sooo babygirl, so it's so interesting to watch him be so ruthless and scary as Armand. Such great acting chops!

Nicole Mazza

Agreed, the acting went up a notch when I thought it couldn't anymore. I'm so pleased that Daniel's getting answers and I love that this episode he stepped out of the professional mindset and was talking to Louis as a peer. This episode was outstanding and we didn't even see Lestat once

Chelsea George

No that argument was *everything,* it was simply incredible. They're developing Armand to the same extent as Louis and Lestat (yet in his own specific lane, of course) and it's honestly breathtaking. This show is staggering.

Brittany Diamond

The fight between Louis and Armand is some of the best acting I've seen in my life! Jacob and Assad deserve ALL THE AWARDS!! And the things they said to each other were absolutely INSANE!! Just the most heinous hateful shit you could possibly say to someone about their worst trauma. I was fucking GAGGED the whole time Idk what it says about me that this is the episode that made me fall completely in love with Armand. I adore how much of a fucked up freak he was in this episode. The creepy dead eyed yet furious stare as he says "He's fine. You're fine. Everything's fine!" to Louis while repeatedly slamming Daniel into the floor. The horror of him casually controlling Daniel's body like he's an object rather than a person. The way he remains completely unfazed as Daniel cries and begs for his life, focused only on the fact that this boy held Louis' attention when Armand can't anymore. It was all so good!! I was also absolutely enthralled by the scene where we see how he kills his victims. The way he slowly convinces Daniel that he wants death. The gentle way he speaks to him as he cradles his face, his thumb caressing Daniel's jawline. Telling him that it's okay, there will be no pain. It'll feel like a bath, like honey on his tongue. The way he says "come, I'll hold you. You rest now." as he embraces him😭 It was just such a gorgeously tender scene! I know it's technically murder, but I'm fucked in the head so my brain just thought it was romantic as hell. Ngl I think if Armand did that to me it would fix me actually😌

HeathenPotato

Hope you will react to ep 5 soon

Purple Honey

On the edge of my seat, waiting for your reaction to Episode 5)

LukeLemon

I'm so excited to see your reaction to ep 5, there are some things that I'm very curious on what your take will be

Alex

Vidyard is great! I have no spare storage on my laptop and can't download videos, so vidyard is perfect :) I am SO excited to see your reaction to ep5, that shit is W I L D

Katie

Oh ep5 ep5! You would lovvvve it!

jdkkw Li

I wonder what Past!Armand will think of the former occupation of his beloved Louis after Armand's tragic story of being abused in a brothel? We're out of book waters here, so I wonder if the show will do something with that. We meet Louis as a brothel owner right when one of his sex workers had been an***y r**ed, and we know from his confession to the priest that he felt guilt about his occupation, so maybe Armand will find some triggering memories/emotions in his head? Also, holy crap, Claudia's infantalizing stage costume = Shirley Temple!!!

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

E4: I was SHOCKED when we first see Sam Reid sitting with his hair pulled back wearing that suit and watching Louis burning photos in his Paris flat by how much Reid looked EXACTLY LIKE BRAD PITT from the movie! That had to have been on purpose, no? Had to be a recreation of Brad’s Louis to emphasize that this version of Lestat is Louis (like Brad Pitt played Louis)? This show is scrambling MY head as badly as Daniel’s. Lovely reaction, as always. XO

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

E4: Not surprised Armand can stop time, as we saw Lestat do that in S1 a couple times, but (as someone delaying reading further into the books, I honestly don’t know the answer to this) I really want to know whether LOUIS can also stop time in the modern timeline. In E3, Armand implied Lestat will be able to tap into the powers his maker had, so I really think Louis will eventually be able to do everything Lestat could (though if he has “the cloud gift” I wouldn’t blame him for not trying to fly, with how Lestat traumatized him by dropping him). I’m baffled that every time Armand argued a vampire in this ep when humans were around (Claudia in the street when he dragged her away from the dress shop, then Santiago, and Louis in modern time with Daniel in the building) he did it where others could overhear, not telepathically. For that matter, why did Claudia argue loudly with Louis about Armand knowing about Lestat, instead of telepathically? WTF?? Was it a choice to let the acting shine without them timing the voice overs, or does it *mean something*? I’m so baffled by everything they’re giving us, I’m paranoid about ALL the choices and questioning what EVERYTHING means. Did they WANT to be overheard to kick over the anthill? Or was it just more emotional this way? When you teared up when Lestat was fading on the bench… STOP THAT!!! I’M NOT CRYING YOU’RE CRYING!!! OMG this is why I love your reactions. <3 <3 <3

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

Oh and his given name was Andrei in the book but they changed it into Arun which is a Hindi name means “Reddish brown; Color of dawn; Sun.” Related to his vampire eyes and his hair color in the book.

jdkkw Li

Armand’s backstory is very much the same in the book, except his physical appearance being a 17 years old white boy with red hair, it’s very fucked up… more details in his book “The Vampire Armand”.

jdkkw Li

Ben Daniels is riveting as Santiago. Absolutely blows Stephen Rea out of the water, which is saying something!

Basingstoke

I want the next season to be Daniel interviewing Lestat. They are throwing so many bread crumbs down that I think it might happen, but we will see…

Basingstoke

Vidyard is MUCH better for me, since I usually watch on mobile. Also because I have ADHD 😆 so I will set things to download and then, in the three minutes that takes, forget and start doing something else. I have so many reactions downloaded and not watched that it’s embarrassing.

Basingstoke

Breathless anticipation for ep 4. And even more breathless anticipation for ep 5 in general. My GOD.

threerings

You are my twin!!!

jdkkw Li

I love vidyard!! I love that I can watch the whole show and your reaction in one video 😅 can’t wait for your reaction to ep 4! :3 your reactions are my very favourite and I pretty much fall over myself to watch them ASAP 😅❤️

Lauren

Ep4...omg finally, finally as a book reader, this is going to be so goood!!!!!! So excited for something that is coming but I wouldn't spoil AHHHHHHHH

jdkkw Li

...Alice actually being Armand is an absolutely insane theory that I am instantly and madly in love with. Holy shit.

Brittany Diamond

Oh shit I hadn't even thought of that possibility dsjadkljsadksla

Brittany Diamond

Psst! The great conversion is something that was mentioned in S1. I know you have no time to rewatch stuff but trust me this show is soooo rewatchable because you catch tons of stuff that connect to other stuff like seriously there are layers upon layers to the writing. Never seen such good writing. Also, as someone already pointed out, there are parts from other books after Interview being incorporated into this season (also s1), like the Armand/Lestat stuff is from The Vampire Lestat book, second in the series. And Justin Kirk is playing a character from book four but it's ambiguous at the moment who he is exactly even for us who know Who he is (: I know that makes no sense but spoilers :)

FYI Brittany, we're dealing with stuff that is WELL past the first book now. That's all I'll say.

For episode 3 Armand is telling things from his side. He’s always lying to make himself look better. I doubt most of the way he told that story to Daniel was true. Also I would love to see Lestat and Malloy interact. I hope that happens.

Ep3 is sooo good! Can’t wait for the reaction!!!

In ep 2, I don't know why I didn't notice upon first watch, but when the guy warns Claudia not to go into the dress shop, he imitates a Nazi salute. So, I'm guessing that Madeleine (if that is Madeleine) might've been caught up with the Nazis? It'll be interesting to see. Also, the bit about Daniel feeling more free in Paris to hold Alice's hand REALLY makes me think Alice = Armand.

Nicole Mazza

Princess Louis snapped and did some damage in 202. Good for him!! Also, that letter. The Jam chemistry was Jamming, even in just that little scene. Louis wanted to cry so badly.

Jamie

I have no way of knowing, only guessing, and I'd love to hear your guess: Is "Real Rashid" a human or a vampire?? I love your reactions so much. Thank you for everything!!!!!!!

Don’tDrinkTheLuminol

My fave, too! Great taste! :D

Will be invoking Carol's name on a regular basis <3

To answer your costuming question, Carol Cutshall is responsible for every piece of clothing you see in this show. She is SO fucking good at her job. Everyone working on this show is incredible at their jobs!! Also. It pains me to have soooo much book knowledge plus all the stuff I've gathered from cast and crew interviews, and not being able to just tell you all of the Things but I will say that Armand’s love for Louis is not completely fake and something is definitely off as you have pointed out. We will find out this season. Anyway, loumand is my favorite fail marriage of all time <3

The acting, directing, etc. do such a fantastic job giving subtle differences in vibes between the various relationships. It's so good! Like Louis and Armand in the past have a chemistry built on intrigue for one another with a hesitation to lower their guard. Meanwhile, in the present, in an objective POV, they feel so performative. We've seen Louis in romantic contexts with Lestat and how he acts when he's comfortable and in love, and it's usually far more reserved, especially in front of third parties, including Claudia. He never did any of the PDA him and Armand are exhibiting in front of Daniel, so he feels out of character and like they're putting on a show. Which then serves to make the chemistry between Louis and Lestat for that very brief scene feel so much more natural, organic, and sincere. It was just Louis alone with his thoughts on Lestat and experiencing the grief of his absence, knowing exactly how Lestat would intend those words to be said. That quiet kind of yearning feels far more in character for him. Ah, I can't wait to see what all of this is building to! ...Also, this is the first time Santiago has had me like 👀

Anghel

And Daniellll, Daniel is my favorite character of all time🤓 I love him and this season is going to be more about him then the last one!!!! I knew(hope) you will enjoy his story down the line!

jdkkw Li

Yessss, Lestat with the green tie at Louis’ family dinner table 🥹

jdkkw Li

Ben Daniel’s is spectacular in this. Considering how magnificent the rest of the cast is, that is saying something. Lestat’s letter is heartbreakingly beautiful (SamReid’s eyes as he delivered it made me gasp. No one furrows a brow like Jacob). When did Lestat write it? When he suspected Claudia’s betrayal, Louis’ betrayal? Louis is no longer imagining Lestat bloody and ragged. Lestat is wearing the suit from their first consummation (included the call back with Lestat reaching out to touch him from behind) , when Louis gave in to his desire and felt love for the first time. Line of the episode has to go to Claudia though.. 2🩸 🐓 👏

Yeahhhhh!

I am so excited, refreshing every few hours for ep2 reaction hahahaha I know you would LOVE it!

jdkkw Li

PRISON. HOW DID I MISS THAT.

Brittany Diamond

Oh Brittany I am so excited for your reaction for this show 🥹 I got into this show because your reaction for season 1, now this is my favorite show🥰 base on “the” trailer you were talking about in the video, this season it’s going to be sooooooo good 🙏

jdkkw Li

Louis and Armand’s bedroom looking like a prison, I’m sure everything is fine!! Also “I can’t get warm” MAYBE BECAUSE YOUR COAL FIRE IS IN THE DUMP.

Jamie

That me and you scene is such an awsome scene! Feels already like a classic.

Yowela M

Vidyard is working for me, I love this show so much 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

jdkkw Li

“If you were the last vampire on Earth, it would be enough” looks over at imaginary Lestat 😭❤️ I’m so looking forward to this season and your reactions to it.

Stephanie Hensley

Vidyard worked just fine for me. Loving the season opener! Can't wait to see what's coming (for us)!

Fqonly

bailey bass who played claudia in s1 had to be recast as she stars in the avatar movies and was already signed on for the next movie so her schedule couldn’t allow her to be in s2 aswell!

Olivia

Although WeTransfer worked just fine for me I’m glad we’re trying Vidyard again!! Can’t wait to get home and watch thisssss
