Update! 3/28
Added 2024-03-28 22:39:25 +0000 UTCI did the sleep test, and results should take up to two weeks. From there I believe I schedule a follow up with the sleep specialist to discuss treatment, which involves ordering equipment. No idea if they have a variety of options for me to choose from there or if I need to have it delivered from somewhere, but it's all one big process that I'd say I'm in the second half of at this point.
Even if it has to be delivered, I think April is where treatment officially begins! Doing my best to work on all the things in progress I've mentioned in previous updates, while at the same time reminding myself that I can only do so much right now (and that's perfectly okay). Words can't describe how excited I am to finally sleep and then have energy to do all the gay things I'm dying to do.
The process is processing! <3

All sounds good. Just remember that you don't need to justify what you're doing, or why you're being "less productive" than some external benchmark calls for (or even your own self-imposed measures). Dealing with a major health issue is legit. Dealing with any health issue while trying to navigate the Kafkaseque cruelties of the US for-profit healthcare system without going bankrupt is a fulltime job. Take your time, do what you need to do. Your audience will be there when you're ready.

2024-03-29 05:43:59 +0000 UTCMy parents used to run a sleep lab (before my mom got sick) and did sleep studies, they will most certainly provide you with options for most likely either a cpap or possibly a bipap, which can range anywhere from a nasal canula (the tube up your nose like you see in tv shows lol) to a full face mask (for mouth breathers like me). They will fit you and make sure you're comfortable, and yes, once you start getting good nights' sleep you'll feel loads better! Definitely take care of you!
