(The official theme, which is of course a ballad sung by one of the lead actors because who are we kidding, features stunning flute and strings--my fucking weakness. It's also BONKERS with subtext and lyrical censor-dodging and, as an American who's spent 15 years spouting educated guesses and theories that go forever unverified, I will never get used to the sly confirmation East Asian writers/creators manage to pull off. This song is worthy of The Untamed soundtrack, seriously.)

I wanted to watch this movie for a while now but hadn't gotten around to doing it yet and it was so nice to watch it along with you ! I actually watched your video last week and the story and its characters have been living in my head ever since so I actually just finished watching your reaction a second time and it was just as great 😊 Truly the costumes and sceneries are so stunningly beautiful ! And I loved your comments about the camera angles and, of course, about the story in general and the characters Thank you so much for reacting to this movie !

The end of the video sums it all up perfectly: ,,Holy shit, god damn it, what the shit" Famous ending words, really. I love this movie as a whole and although I feel like it would've flourished even more if it had been a two parter, it is still an insanely good rewatch. Thank you Brittany for being the best watch buddy ever.

In my head, they’ve already met again and are constantly bickering (*cough*flirting*cough*) over the spirit guardian moment and Boya being all like “I told you, that wasn’t me” but also “Move over Killing Stone, I’M Qingming’s best spirit guardian”
