Or maybe I think that because most of my OTPs aren't canon and I've spent the last ten years mining mainstream work for what can be interpreted as queer subtext, only to discover in this documentary that all of my theories about how and why people have intentionally slipped in some good gay shit into films was, like, correct.

I wouldn't be surprised if Disney got the filmmakers to leave their brand out of it. Lord knows they never want a single negative word said about them, much less several words about the damage queer coding villains can have on queer children (and children in general).

My only, I don't want to say complaint, but my only wish? was that they had talked a bit about Disney, and how gay people are shown to children. They mentioned how gays at one point were always villain's, but those movies were for adults. Disney had many queer coded villain's, and that's a portrayal to children.
