Deleted Rant from The Neopets Experience #10

The 10-minute rant I decided to remove from finale of The Neopets Experience.

I decided to make some major changes to the first part of the script to remove this rant from the video. This decision was made during editing (after I had recorded the voiceover) which meant a lot of work would go unseen to most, but those are the decisions you make so the final outcome is the best it can be. Overall, I cut 2000 words out of the script.

I finished the original script in February, but didn't start video production until after I was done with the interview video with the Testers. This mean that quite some time had passed since I originally wrote it and so I had to do a rewrite before I recorded the voiceover. This would be third draft, but even it was made obsolete by the fact that The Neopets Team were making updates to the games that countered the points I brought up in the rant. So I decided to cut the rant in an effort to stop the video from becoming outdated too quickly.

Also, I felt the rant may have come across as overly harsh. I know The Neopets Team is trying, but I'm just not enjoying the game anymore. Many people still do though and I don't wanna come in and rain on their parade. I had my fun with the game and now that time is over. I felt the video should have a more positive tone overall and so my rewrite reflected that.

It was however still important for me to point out my doubts that Neopets was going to last much longer as a website, because I had already decided the title of the video would be "The End of Neopets". Without me mentioning that I thought the website was doomed, it would seem like baseless clickbait. Still though, some people seem to have misinterpreted the thumbnaila nd title as it meaning the website has announced its closure, which isn't true at this time. People misunderstanding things isn't a new phenomenon though and I expected it to happen - still, gotta have that enticing clickbait right?
