The malevolent creature that some call manitou is real, though its provenance is unknown. Perhaps it was there before the native Americans, and conforms to the persistence of their belief, or perhaps it simply appears to do so while enacting a much stranger life-cycle than any might imagine.

Oh. I might now be being clear. SAN losses occur only when the WP has been sufficiently leached.

It might differ. I would guess unnatural or helplessness. As to when, it’s when it manifests the fear attack by making frightening sounds and shadows near the pc and the simulation.

Hey Dennis, great creature. A couple of questions about SAN? When does the player has to roll for SAN loss? The only match I can think off, since the creature appears in harmless form, is it mute disguise in front of the player (I'm picturing the scene from Rick&Morty when Rick's car create a simulacrum of a dead kid only to melt it in front of his father). In that case does the SAN counts as occult or helplessness? (I noticed that even in the Reverberation pdf the SAN don't specify the kind of SAN roll, is it always occult when not explicitly said?)
