That's right at the transition point as the Air Force is about to be spun off into it's own branch in that November, and so they would have known it was in the works, and the whole service would have been off kilter.
2017-03-31 20:06:15 +0000 UTCThe stuff on Roswell AAB in the publicly released report, as well as some other stuff I've dug up is just weird. It was pretty clear the Air Corps to Air Force transformation was a mess for all involved.

2017-03-31 20:03:41 +0000 UTCReally! That's super uncommon for an NCO to be a pilot. Although looking at it deeper, it looks like the Army Transportation Corps had NCOs, so yeah, nevermind and ignore me. :)
