Headcount at Dawn has launched!!

The day has come! The Headcount at Dawn kickstarter project is finally out there!

A TREMENDOUS amount of work has gone into making this project and I am beyond thrilled to see it finally go out into the world.

Headcount at dawn is a lore-driven set of 32mmscale miniatures. It includes 2 skirmish factions: the Human Survivor Militia, and the Usurper Worm Horde. Both factions come with free playable rules for onepagerules' grimdark future firefight, and the Usurper Worm Horde can be used as D&D 5e monsters!

This project can be backed to get printable STL files (humans, worms, or both!). It can ALSO be backed to get physical minis mailed straight to you!

The campaign page contains a lot of backstory. Some in the faction areas, some on the unit statlines for the playable game rules, and more throughout the page, but the original spark for the lore was this:

"Our beloved world is gone. the people of Persephon have been twisted beyond recognition into the source of their own demise.  Aside for a few thousand living and a few million obliterated dead, this world of 2 billion has become monsters.

In our last fortress city, we have nearly a planet's worth of weaponry, but, unchecked, the enemy grows stronger by devouring any life it finds -- even itself, when necessary.

to our great relief, the enemy has deep-rooted instincts that we can leverage. We fight numbers and ferocity with tested methods. Victory is achievable but it will require near-perfection... and we are exhausted.  extinction looms behind every corner. If a dawn comes after the last worm is slain, how many of us will be alive to see it?"

The Miniatures

There are 18 monopose miniatures (8 Humans and 10 Usurper Worm Abominations)

And on top of that, there's a kit for building extra humans! Check out this animated preview:

The physical reward tiers

But printable STLs aren't the only way to back this project. Don't have a printer? Maybe just feelin' lazy?? You can back the physical tier to get either or both monopose sets mailed right to you!

Hopefully the miniatures are cool in themselves, but they also have multiple uses on the tabletop!
