Announcing: SUPER DORKFACTORY MONTH

Good afternoon,

There's been an idea floating around the dorkosphere for some time now: have a month where the community suggests edits and additions to existing models, and those edits get made.

I'm continually blown away by the ideas people have when I ask for input on designs, or when they come up with edits or combinations or new bit ideas on existing models/kits.
Long ago, after there got to be a notably large backlog of awesome alteration ideas suggested by the community, it was floated to have a full month centered around these ideas. Finally, that time has come. Next month will be all about your ideas.
Until October 14th, anyone can name a model or kit (or multiple) and say an edit or addition they'd like to see. Here's how it'll go down:

• First, ideas will be gathered via discord.
• Next, 3 public votes will take place on patreon.
• Then the winning idea of each vote will be turned into actual models, and patrons can download whatever comes out of this special month.

How can I submit my idea??

Head over to the dorkfactory discord server (Anyone can join. Discord is super easy to get into if you haven't used it before. Most DF patrons and a lot of other hobbyists are already there).
Find the #idea-submissions channel under SUPER DORKFACTORY MONTH, read the simple rules, and post!
Only ideas in the discord idea-submission channel will be eligible -- sorry if that's annoying; Keeping track across everything would just get too crazy.

Voting

Three votes will take place.  October 1st, 8th and 15th.  The day before each vote, I'll pick 3 or more ideas that I think I could do a good job on in about 1 week and I'll add them to a public vote on patreon.  A couple days after each vote, I'll start working on the winner!

There are already some really good ideas in the submissions channel. If you're skeptical about this unusual month I highly encourage you to check out the awesome ideas we'll be choosing from. Hopefully you'll feel inspired to submit your own!

I'm really excited to get going on this.

As for the rest of this month: The techno-demon infantry kit is getting huge! It'll be out very soon (hoping to have that release on Sep. 21st).
After that it's on to some fun gory sculpting with the gorebot spider swarms!
