BTS Sundays are back! Sorry I have been away for a couple weeks. Work has been crazy but today we got back in the swing of things. First, we did IN THE SOOP S1 E5, then BTS's new OST The Planets The Jimins brand new collab Angels Pt 1.  Plus a special message from Jin.

The OST for the animation "Bastions" released! “The Planet” ranked 1st on iTunes in 67 countries and reached 1 on worldwide iTunes (extending BTS’s record with their 34th #1 hit) Here is the link to song (for twitch)

BTS is dropping a 500+ page book on July 9th! “Beyond The Story: 10-Year Record of BTS” was written by journalist Myeongseok Kang (he has done amazing interviews with the boys in the past) & BTS members themselves.

There is an upcoming Kdrama that will be based on the Bangtan Universe! It has been in the works for a while but got postponed due to covid, but now it’s finally going to be released in the near future. (and none of  the members will not be acting in this series).

The trailer was released during the 2023 Korea Expo in Paris and there’s no trailer officially released online, but sure we will get that soon along with more information about the show! It’s the fictional story in their MV not about the members themselves Jim lol like the I need u MV, that plot lol (we will get you back into the BU soon)

BTS has become the act with the most albums reaching 1 Billion stream on Spotify (13)

SUGA:

He has officially finished the US leg of the tour and I am so proud of him and army for keeping their energy high throughout all the shows! (Day 2 of Oakland was amazing, emotional, and so incredibly loud - so grateful I had the chance to feel that energy in person) For his LA shows he also brought out special guests to perform on stage with him - MAX (Burn it) and Halsey (Suga’s interlude)!

Yoongi has earned the highest grossing concerts by a Korean soloist in US History with a total of $30.2M in just 11 stadium shows. He also became the first rapper ever to earn over $3 million in a single arena concert in US history, even earning the top four spots for a rapper with highest grossing concert!

After he wrapped up his shows in America he traveled back to Korea and held virtual fan calls with lucky winners and even had a “movie night” (they didnt even watch a movie) with 350 lucky army where he performed haegum and other songs, talked to army, shared stories of his album making process, and gifted merch and Valentino items for army to take home.

Yoongi has started the Asia leg of his tour in Jakarta which he has now wrapped up and will be heading to Kanagawa, wishing him and all army attending good health!

Even outside his demanding tour there is still content being pushed out, from making appearances at NBA games and appearing in the NBA Finals Trailer (Link), new episodes of Suchwita, and behind the scenes content.

JIMIN:

Jimin is part of the official soundtrack from “Fast X” (Fast & Furious 10) “Angel Pt. 1” features Jimin, JVKE, Muni Long, Kodak Black, and NLE Choppa. (Link for twitch)

On the Global Spotify chart, the song landed #23 with over 2.6M streams and was #1 on the Worldwide iTunes - with this Jimin extends with record as the soloist with the most songs reaching #1 on iTunes in at least 100 countries (6).

Jimin has also become the fastest solo K-pop artist to reach 1 billion streams on Spotify (male) in just 393 days AND has broken the record for biggest streaming year for a K-Pop soloist in Spotify history.

Other than breaking records left and right, Jimin has been participating in Dance Challenges on social media, writing posts on weverse, and he even went and came back from a trip to London, for what?? Idk, but he did share some adorable photos of him in the Harry Potter Experience so we know he had some fun. (cabbage here! I recommend this HP experience. it is such a cool place to visit in the UK! Jimin must’ve had so much fun! I have been three times!)

RM:

Don't Ever Say Love Me by Colde Ft. RM will have an official music video coming out tomorrow!

RM is on the cover of Vogue Korea for their June issue! Photos have slowly been releasing and they are stunning, lots of photos below.

He has been posting photos of himself on instagram working in the studio for his mysterious project and also him enjoying his time outside, enjoying art, and hanging out with friends. Hope he is completing all of his work with an easy mind and enjoying his free time to the fullest!

V:

Tae became the first K-Pop act to surpass 13 MILLION followers without any album released/official solo debut in Spotify's history. King shit!

He also traveled to France to attend Celine’s event in Canne and looked amazing as a global ambassador and even attended Naomi Campbells Birthday Party/Art Auction that aids EMERGE USA and Cancer Research UK! Lots of photos below!

Because some cute Weverse banter we know that Jimin and Tae were supposed to travel back to Korea together but either Tae was too late or Jimin didn't wait for Tae, the world will never know because the soulmates will always throw each other under the bus lol

JK:

With just 6 songs, JK surpassed 2 billion streams on Spotify!

Jk attended the Calvin Klein Jennie (from Blackpink) Pop up in Korea as a global ambassador and even though his appearance was quick I hope he had a good time and look forward to seeing if a Calvin Klein JK pop up event will be a possibility in the future!

He shared a photo of his dog Bam on Weverse and after not going on live for a bit he finally returned with an hour live because he said he ‘missed army’! He shared with us that he had received a noise complaint because of the loud music and singing coming from his apartment (apparently the vibrations were the issue) and even though he told us he had to be quiet he continued on singing and dancing loudly lol, it was a fun live where he chatted and sang lots of songs and it was great seeing him on live again.

JIN:

He miss him dearly and hope he is taking care of himself and being taken care of well, we did get our May message video (Link) that he prerecorded and as always it's great to see him and we are counting down the days until he’s back!

JHOPE:

Our Sunshine has officially finished his basic training period!! So incredibly proud of him for completing those first few tough weeks. He posted on both instagram and Weverse:

“armys !!! ive completed <training> well. the letters and support that you have all sent have been a great help, that i was able to work hard while receiving training!!!

i’ll continue to work hard and show you good sides of me during the rest of my time where i’ll be wearing the uniform! i love you!!

RM and JK even left supportive comments under the post with JK saying “so cool” and RM writing “you worked hard!” I’m sure they are so proud of their brother!

We also got some much needed SOPE content- yoongis and Hobi’s documentaries are being shows in theaters worldwide and they made their announcement together (Link)
