Knitting, Weaving and Patterning on 3D Surfaces

In this tutorial, you'll learn how to transfer over all of the previous weaving and knitting techniques so that they can be applied to any 3D surface.

This technique uses the UV's to move any curves or geometric patterns to the 3D surface using VEX.  Special attention is paid to cutting the curves cleanly where they reach the borders of the UV patches.  The thickness of the knitting or it's distance from the 3D surface is also taken into account to accurately represent the knitted or patterned structure in 3D.  Finally the detangle SOP is used to quickly provide collision detection to the knitted structure and produce a more natural look the knitting.

Extra examples are included in the "end" scene file demonstrating some of the extra capabilities and flexibility of the technique.
