I'm hoping Aika doesn't immediately forgive Saiya, tbh. It's gonna have to take some pain and soul-searching for her to realize that she's hurt those around her due to her impulsiveness and greed. Really hoping Saiya grows as a character, but I do hope Aika has a backbone and doesn't just immediately forgive her.

Assuming Father Biscuit is only a priest. But, if he says this and assuming his authority is legitimate, then it puzzles me more, perhaps this religion gives more autonomy to the lower clergy than expected.

2023-07-26 17:46:42 +0000 UTCWell I can totally see aika going on a big depressive eating binge after this horrible experience and hopefully since aika doesn't like to take shit from anyone she's probably gonna lay into saiya and so that saiya can finally turn her self absorbed life around it might've taken a long time but that's kinda the realistic part of someone learning their mistakes it doesn't happen instantly until it finally snowballs out of control.

Yes, she's young but she's HIDEOUSLY self-absorbed, has ruined things no fewer than three times in recent memory by this point due to her desire for instant gratification for both her 'friends' and herself and seems incapable of considering long or even short-term consequences even after witnessing them bite Tessa in the arse. Hell, she ruined things for a great friend IMMEDIATELY after said friend saved her from her own stupidity. That said, personal disdain for the most selfish character in this setting (which... isn't actually saying much come to think of it, not a lot of competition in that regard) doesn't detract from general enjoyment of the comic especially now this section's over. And this is just the opinion of one random berk on the internet. Seriously though, no wonder Tessa's tomboy trainer hates Saiya.

2023-07-26 10:53:13 +0000 UTCYep, this turned out about how I expected ^_^; Again, maybe it should have been more obvious for me a while back, but it's really becoming clear to me just how much Saiya has the absolute worst self-control of anyone in OSC - it's just that hers isn't gravitating towards her appetite like the others do. That said, I'm kinda worried where this is gonna go from here - being in the church meant a heck of a lot to Aika and Saiya screwed it up for her; even if she recovers like Tessa seemingly did with her own appearance, I gotta wonder if it's gonna be quite so easy to bounce back from (I mean, in Tessa's case the streaming was a lot of stress alongside being her livelihood, but in Aika's case it was something she actually enjoyed all around).
