Wrong! Is my artstyle XD. Is dark because is supposed to be night time. I tried to hint that with the bluish dark colours, considering the enviroment and type of light it would be mistaken to make pikachu 100% yellow. They need colors from the enviroment to blend well with the surroundings.

2018-03-25 13:22:57 +0000 UTCI do not know exactly why but Pikachu looks weird I think the color looks more brown than yellow and it looks too dark for the Backround but im a noob at drawing so dont mind me :P from the coloring style would i say its from Meraence :3 its a very cool pic i like to see kirara from you guys ^^
