Scifi Setting Lore Writeup

I'll keep chipping away at it, but here's my best summary. It's basically Ian Banks' The Culture but porny and cynical. I shall admit influence from The Three Body Problem, as well as various antinatalist concepts, xenofeminism & philosophical things I've picked up over the years. Also there's SCP influence >_>
Reasoning:
Well I like scifi but a lot of it lacks materialism, so to speak. If you're dealing with a super advanced (not Halo etc. but like Star Trek levels of advanced), then a lot of social constructs break down. Why have genders if you can literally just swap sexes with 0 effort? Why remain humanoid when so many various shapes are easily available? It don't make sense, chico. So this is my honest attempt at trying to see what it'd actually look like.
Not that I intend to make it hard sci-fi since I still want tentacles and mind rape and merging and w/e. I am also thinking on how to tackle the concept of a soul in-setting, because I don't think it would realistically exist in-setting, but I still want to play around with consciousness transfer and soul replication ideas.
