At first glance, The Rehearsal might seem like another one of Fielder’s comedic vehicles. You might think it’s yet another parodic reality tv show, like Nathan For You. In a certain sense, this is true; however, after a thorough inspection of the material, I have reason to believe that something extremely weird is going on with this show.

Nathan’s creation of a simulated reality and his insertion into it certainly feels like a self referential postmodern critique, but by the end of the series it’s moved beyond that into the realm of introspective horror. Also I totally thought that picture posted before was two different people (which it totally was of course and Davey’s help will make this YT video do numbers!)
