The more I think about this, the more I think we're missing something regarding the aunts/sisters. Marvin is a villain, apparently, and Thomas is never mentioned -- but Jill is "intimidating" and Anna's Office seems to be an actual part of the game (it has its own sound file in addition to possibly being part of the real-world egg hunt). Mrs. Mark is away "working very hard" on something (perhaps developing a game at Garalina for Rainer to one day find and add the "creepy stuff" -- or perhaps she's "Rainer," herself since although it seems like Rainer is Daniel I don't think we have that confirmed yet). Then there's the auntie not everyone can see... Lina, I'm guessing, but who knows? And Paul's mom, who had the game after 2004... It seems like there's a lot of room for speculation there, but I don't see a lot of people really addressing these women and their possible involvement in their theories. I just feel like we have some clues here we're not really engaging with.

I guess this is all to say, how much are Rainer's actions actually working on the level of advocacy for these victims? How much is his use of these systems actually working to further the abuse of Marvin? How knowingly complicit is Paul in this cycle? God there are so many questions.

It's really interesting that Marvin's sprite exists as a loading screen within the game world. On a critical hand I get that it further blends our understanding of the Embedded text and the text proper, but on a literal level that cements that Rainer had significant amounts of time to update the game while Marvin was playing it.
