If you cast your mind all the way back to series 2 of NuWho. When Sarah Jane and Rose first meet. They had a sort of 'one-upmanship' game with each other in who had had the most fantastical experiences with The Doctor. During the back and forth, in trying to out score one another with the best monsters. Sarah Jane kinda sorta wins when she finishes with "THE LOCH NESS MONSTER!" Rose pauses and says "Seriously?"
