This episode is definitely one of my faves of the entire series, and the reason I enjoy season 2 as much as season 1. Most people prefer season 1 and only recommend to watch the first season but this episode is what I love about season 2 because we get to learn so much of Peggy’s backstory and where she came from. It informs us about who she is at her core without having to do with Cap America or anything else, just Peggy and seeing her struggle with making a decision based on what she wants vs what society expects of her as a woman. And to parallel that same struggle in Whitney/Agnes’ backstory was really good and so well written I think. Whereas Peggy at first wanted to delude herself into becoming the perfect wife and just like any other woman of her time, Agnes never wanted that and always wanted to pursue science despite women not being respected in that field. But they both had to switch plans when reality and life circumstances got in the way. Just an awesome episode :-)
