And just like that, 2023 has come to a close. I hope you enjoyed all the artwork I made for December 2023. Please cast your vote in the favorite piece poll! It'll be interesting to see which piece comes out on top.
We can also use this post to review all the work I produced in 2023. I wasn't as productive as 2022 when I produced 90 art pieces. I took a lot more breaks this year. I'm ending 2023 with around 72 pieces of art. Not too shabby--and they are all of decent quality. I also took on side projects like writing fanfics and making that color wheel. Just comparing what I created at the beginning of 2023 to what I drew at the end, I saw a lot of growth in my skills.
All of this happened, mind you, during one of the most disruptive years in art history. The explosion of AI art has completely changed the landscape. Yet despite this, I found that my creativity hasn't really suffered. In fact, it seems like more and more people are drawn to my work. I guess you still need human hands to make a decent piece of sleepy peril art, huh?

I’m so glad you noticed the improvements. With each piece, I’m always trying to figure out how to make it just a little better than the last one. I really do care about getting better!

Maybe because it's been a while, but looking at it now compared to 2022, it may seem small, but it has improved a lot. It looks cuter, livelier, more vibrant, better expressions. I think seeing the most recent Sailor Moon artworks can better prove my point, everything just fits better now. As you said in your post, even with AI exploding like crazy, you still need that human touch. As long as you continue to create, you will always improve and this year showcased this as well. We're always excited to see what greatness you will create! Have a happy new year!
