Question: Do backgrounds matter?
Added 2023-10-25 23:21:15 +0000 UTCAlright Patrons, I'm starting to ramp back up to drawing again (did I ever really stop?), so that means we'll be returning to normal billing for November.
As I think about what artwork to make, I have a really important question for you: do fancy backgrounds in artwork matter? Do you like seeing the 3D scenery I draw, or would you prefer a plain, simple background?
No right or wrong answer here, I'm just curious. Let me know what you think in the comments!

I think backgrounds more often matter than they don't. Not that they need to be super detailed, but it mostly depends on the piece. Like if you are doing a scene or something, it's good to have them. But if your like, 'eh want to just draw this character bound/sleepy/etc' then they may not need them. Overall I say insert them when it feels right and you want too.
